OGI - EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING
"O-GI" stands for the Ontario Federation of Indian Friendship Centres - Grand River Employment and Training Initiatives.
O-GI Employment & Training provides services for urban Aboriginal people living in the urban areas.
O-GI Employment & Training is in partnership with the Timmins Native Friendship Centre, Service Canada, and Ontario
Federation of Indian Friendship Centres (OFIFC) and Grand River Employment and Training (GREAT).
OBJECTIVES
-
To assist urban Aboriginal people develop and reach their employment and training goals.

To act as a liaison between urban Aboriginal people and funding sources.

To assist urban Aboriginal people in securing and maintaining employment throught counselling and training interventions.
ELIGIBILITY
-
Non-status individuals who do not consider themselves Métis or who have no affiliation to a First Nation or Inuit community.
-
Status Indians who have no connection to a band.
-
Status or non- status out-of-province Aboriginal individuals.
