Apatisiwin Employment & Training provides services for urban Aboriginal people living in the urban areas.
Apatisiwin Employment & Training is in partnership with the Timmins Native Friendship Centre, Service Canada, and OntarioFederation of Indian Friendship Centres (OFIFC) and Grand River Employment and Training (GREAT).
OBJECTIVES
To assist urban Aboriginal people develop and reach their employment and training goals.
To act as a liaison between urban Aboriginal people and funding sources.
To assist urban Aboriginal people in securing and maintaining employment throught counselling and training interventions.
ELIGIBILITY
Non-status individuals who do not consider themselves Métis or who have no affiliation to a First Nation or Inuit community.
Status Indians who have no connection to a band.
Status or non- status out-of-province Aboriginal individuals.
