AGING AT HOME STRATEGY PROGRAM 


THE PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Aging at Home Strategy Program is to assist Aboriginal seniors/elders with services provided, such as in aboriginal support, advocacy translation, medical transportation within Timmins, friendly visiting, needs for clients to remain active for their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs. 

OBJECTIVES:

To conduct ongoing needs assessment related to community based service long term care needs.  

Establish and maintain community contact with other voluntary Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations for the purposes of networking.

  • Friendly Visits
  • Transportation Support
  • Translation Support
  • Home Visits
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Home Supports
  • Medical Escort Support
